Building Your Twitter Account Pt 3

In just seven days the @bluenational account grew by 500 followers. For me that is less than average. The week previous, I grew by about 1000. However I was losing about 25 each night after gaining about 200. Expanding beyond Twiends and using the " Who to Follow" list to grow your account has helped create a more balance group of supporters. I have fewer unfollowers on average. Twiends is still very important, but it should never be the sole way to grow an account. The simple and effective use of refferal from other tweets has worked to add loyalty to my base. Often Twiends followers fall into two categories; over aggressive marketers/ spam or  random non interested followers who have a high unfollow rate. Many Twiend users don't even know you can change your setting to lower the rate of unfollowers. The setting can also offer more or less seeds; target different countries, and change your interest to attract more focused followers. But aside from Twiends, I use Tweepi.com to further refine those I choose to follow or unfollow. This site takes you deeper into target marketing for the followers who best suit your needs. In my case, I will always follow way less people because I rely on certain types of news/ info related follow backs. I prefer tweets from every corner of the globe. This allows me to plug you in faster with relevant, humorous, political and news worthy tweets. Ultimately as @bluenational expands, we will see a growing fan base that is both loyal and interactive.
